  • Can anybody recommend a web page hosting website?

    I am looking for a good and reliable, preferably easy to use web hosting website, where I can create a web site for my cricket club. We have the domain name, but no host. Any suggestions for good free hosts, or the cheapest?

      50Megs is quite a good one, it has a free option but it’s not like any other where you pick a colour for your website background and add a little text, it’s fairly professional.

    • I have found GoDaddy.com to be excellent. Great up time, excellent customer service, and reasonable hosting. Yahoo has free personal/non-profit hosting as does MSN.

      I would suggest VanHost (www.vanhost.ca) as their lowest hosting option costs 1.99 a month and if you use the coupon code FREEMONTH you can get your first month for free. Also all of their accounts come with cpanel and ftp access so nothing is locked down. With one month free how can you go wrong?

    • There are no good free hosts but there are some good cheap ones.

      Powweb has the best offer right now, they have a limited time sale, hosting for $4.88/month ($58.56/year), and you get a free domain from them. (which you can use to extend your current domain name registration for the additional year for free, or to create the additional website and host them both at the same account)

    • Well , there is hostgator , google host yahoo and godaddy.
      But the most recommended and best web host so far is http://www.NetworkJuiceHosting.com ; Network Juice.

      They now offer plans starting around $0.99 for a great amount of diskspace plus everything else unlimited. Plus they’ve manage to keep up 99% Uptime.

      They have all features such as PHP5, Cpanel , Fantastico , Cron Job , Apache ,Unlimited Dadabase , ftp accounts and much more.

      Hostgator.com is also a great host , but there Uptime time is not so good. Also , customer service is very poor.

      Google.com not so sure , But i know there’s lots of files they do not support , no Cpanel , and i don’t know how come , but they have been receiving downtimes lately in their host servers.

      yahoo , let me just say it’s the worst web host ever. Including FatCow.com. The downtown time is way to much , and many files are un-compatible in fatcow for some reason.

      To buy a domain , the most recommended site is godaddy , but not for it’s hosting!! I Tell you !!!.
