How do I transfer current joomla files over to yahoo web hosting?

I am currently using the joomla 30 day demo trial. How do I transfer the files that I already made on the demo site to my yahoo hosting account? All my files are in the back-end editor and I am not sure how to transfer them to my host site. Please help this neophyte joomla user!!!

Joomla doesn’t have a 30 day trial. It’s free to begin with. You probably have a 30 day trial on some hosting service.
To move Joomla from one hosting to another one I recommend using Akeeba backup extension. It will save you a lot of time. It allows you to back up complete Joomla install (including files and database) on one server and restore them on a new one. It will take care of all directory re-mappings etc. Otherwise, if you do it manually over FTP you may end up with non-working install until you tweak all directories etc.

What is a good web hoster? I used to use Yahoo! but the SQL with them is very limited, so it became bothersome.

I would love a hoster with a Control Panel to quick install forums/whatever/whatever, but if not then full SQL rights and everything. Hoping for semi cheap, if not, I would just host it myself.

No, it isn’t. I use yahoo domain and web hosting and all I pay is a monthly bill for using their services. The only thing that I know of where you pay per click is the ad’s yahoo and google do.

4) Advertise on Craiglist

I did have Yahoo hosting previously and honestly..it is one of the easiest ways to get a website up, but in regards to trying anything technical with databases and such…they are not the host of choice.
